Consignment and Buy-Back Policy
Thanks for considering Happy Little Hippo for selling and consigning! We really enjoy being able to provide and receive this service and would like to offer a few guidelines to ensure a positive experience for everyone...
We buy your current, stylish kids clothes sizes 0-8, baby equipment, toys, books and accessories.
When our demand for certain items is high, we can offer either cash or store credit. (we offer more for store credit)
Typically we can offer cash appointments for children's name brand clothing sizes 3t - 8, unique toys, and certain baby equipment. (We can look at 40 items or less for these clothing appointments.)
Hippo gets most of our smaller sizes, books, and baby toys on the store credit days: Wednesday and Saturday, or for store credit appointments. See more details on walk-in credit days below.
We consign larger, more expensive baby items.
(ie. strollers, high chairs, bedding sets, baby swings etc... and are currently consigning maternity clothes.
If you only have a few items, you can drop buy any time to consign equipment. If you have several large pieces of equipment it works better to make an appointment. We can get you in later that day or later the same week. When your item on consignment sells, you can either collect cash or store credit. (We offer more for store credit.)

Clothing and Accessories
1. Please wash all wearable items and lay them flat. Please wipe of shoes too.
2. Please check that all articles are stain-free, hole-free and that all buttons and snaps are done.
Non-Wearable Items
1. Please wash any part of the item that is removable/washable. Most , car seats, high chairs, swings etc, have pads or linings that can be washed.
2. Please wipe down all surfaces as necessary so the item is free from dirt, dust, stickers/sticker residue, etc.
3. We require that items be in good working condition with all their parts and do not sell recalled items.

Drop In Store Credit Buy Backs:
Drop by Wednesday or Saturday with 20 current, seasonal clothing items (that meet the above criteria) and 20 other items such as books, toys, accessories, baby equipment etc... and we will give you store credit on items Hippo can buy. We are also taking snowsuits, bathing suits, special holiday outfits, and halloween costumes.
